McClintock Urbana Properties Locations and Descriptions:

602 South Race- This Victorian house has been split into two charming apartments with separate air conditioners and gas furnaces. Each apartment has a spacious kitchen, living room, two bedrooms with closets, and one bathroom. Both units feature high ceilings, hardwood floors, and Victorian trim. The downstairs unit also has a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. (For upstairs tenant, coin operated machines are available for use in building next door.) Off street parking available.

604 South Race- This house has been split into three apartments, each with separate furnaces and air conditioning systems. Off street parking available.

Apartment #1 has a large eat-in kitchen, living room, sunroom, two bedrooms with closets, one spacious bathroom, central air-conditioning, and gas forced-air furnace.

Apartment #2 is an upstairs unit with one bedroom, spacious eat-in kitchen, living room, bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower, central air conditioning and gas furnace.

Apartment # 3 has a downstairs portion with a roomy kitchen, dining room and living room. The upstairs has two large bedrooms and the bathroom. The master bedroom has an attached sunroom/study. This unit uses window air conditioners and radiator heat.

606 South Race- This grand Victorian house was originally converted into four identical apartments in the late 1940’s. Each apartment has its own central air conditioner, gas furnace, hardwood floors, leaded glass windows, high ceilings, and natural wood trim. The layouts are similar for all four apartments featuring a galley kitchen, living/dining room, two bedrooms, and one bathroom. Off street parking available.

103 West California- This three bedroom home is a 1920’s Sears Catalogue house with many of its original features. It includes a front porch, living room, dining room, recently remodeled kitchen with dishwasher, two bedrooms downstairs and one bedroom upstairs, one bathroom, a washer and dryer in the basement, and two off street parking spots.

107 West California- This twelve unit apartment building, built in 1975, includes off street parking and coin operated laundry machines for tenant use. Each apartment includes a large living room with eat-in kitchen, two bedrooms with walk-in closets, one bathroom, gas forced air furnace with central A/C, hardwood floors, and recent thermo pane windows.

704 West California- Built in the 1920’s as a four unit apartment building located near the U of I campus, each unit has its own furnace and air conditioner and includes off street parking and coin operated laundry facilities, hardwood floors and large windows for plenty of natural light. The layout of each apartment has a spacious living room, galley kitchen, one bedroom with closet, and one bathroom.

601 South Broadway- This Victorian house built in the 1870’s features hardwood floors, fancy interior trim, a classic front porch, large living room and dining room, recently remodeled spacious kitchen, two full bathrooms (one off kitchen and one upstairs), three bedrooms with closets, full basement with washer/dryer, gas forced air furnace and window air conditioners. Off street parking is available but the one car garage fits only a compact car.

605 South Broadway- This apartment building includes four townhouse apartments, each with two bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs, kitchen, spacious living room, and a half bath downstairs, a full basement with washer and dryer, gas furnace and central air conditioner.

718 South Broadway- This three bedroom house features a front porch, living room, dining room, kitchen with dishwasher, two bedrooms downstairs and one bedroom upstairs, and one bathroom. The house uses hot heater radiator heat and has window air conditioners. It includes a washer and dryer in the basement and two off street parking spots. The house features a large backyard and is situated near Urbana High School and Urbana Middle School and only four blocks from Lincoln Square and downtown Urbana.

720 South Broadway- This duplex features a large backyard and is situated near Urbana High School and Urbana Middle School and only four blocks from Lincoln Square and downtown Urbana.

Apartment #1– The downstairs unit features a front porch with swing, living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, one bathroom, a washer and dryer, and hardwood floors throughout.

Apartment #2– The upstairs unit features an eat-in kitchen, living room, one bedroom, storage closet, one bathroom with skylight, and hardwood floors

105 West Oregon- This apartment building consists of four matching units. The downstairs layout includes a spacious living room with large windows and a patio door, kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer in the basement. The upstairs features two bedrooms and one bathroom. All units have gas forced air furnaces and central air conditioners and off street parking spaces.

203 West Oregon- Originally a small workman’s cottage, this three bedroom house has been expanded over the years. It features a front porch, living room with wood burning fireplace insert, large eat-in kitchen, three bedrooms, and one bathroom. The house has a forced air gas furnace and central air conditioner. It includes a washer and dryer and two off street parking spots off the back alley in the large back yard. The house is situated just a block from Leal School and only five blocks from Lincoln Square and downtown Urbana.

801 South Maple- This small cozy house features two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, galley kitchen, and full basement with washer and dryer, gas furnace with central air conditioner, and gas water heater. The house features Southern yellow pine floors in the living room and bedrooms and ceramic tile floors in the kitchen and the bathroom and a large shady backyard. The house has a recent roof, rewiring, insulation in walls and attic, and new thermo pane windows.

803 South Maple- This small cozy house has been recently renovated. It features a kitchen with dishwasher, generous hallway to the kitchen that can host a table, large living room with corner fireplace, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and full basement with washer and dryer, gas furnace with central air conditioner, and gas water heater. The house features new hardwood floors, recent thermopile sash windows, one off-street parking space, and a large shady backyard.

 

About Us

We have been family-owned and operated for more than thirty years, and all of our properties are owner managed and maintained to high standards.

Most of the rentals are located about one mile away from the University of Illinois campus, and a few blocks from Downtown Urbana.  The properties on the block bordered by Race and Broadway and California and Oregon are located adjacent to a pleasant green space which includes garden plots and a picnic area.

We have extensive experience working with international and graduate students from Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Europe, and we enjoy helping them get settled in the Urbana-Champaign area.

We are committed to recycling and environmentally sound practices and strive to maintain a smoke free environment in the apartments and houses.

 

Community Garden

Our properties feature access to a community vegetable garden, where tenants are welcome to plant and harvest their produce and enjoy a garden kitchen with family and friends. The garden area includes communal garden plots, fruit trees, raspberry bushes, and a picnic area.  Tenants and others meet for picnic potlucks weekly during the spring, summer, and early fall.
